I just love taking baths, don’t you? For me, I usually take a bath because I am cold. In the winter, I’m always freezing, so I take a super hot, super long bath to warm myself up.
One of the best things about having a bath is adding something special, like bath salts, bubbles, or a bath bomb! I love making my own bath salts, so I’m going to share my recipe with you. It’s super easy and you can get most of your ingredients at Bulk Barn (or any bulk store, most likely). I get my dried flowers from Organic Matters, which is based in B.C.
Epsom salt and baking soda are two of my favourite things to add to a bath, but they are pretty boring on their own, so I like to add some essential oils and flower petals.
Baking soda softens water and will make your skin feeling silky smooth and epsom salt contains magnesium which can help make you feel relaxed and relieve muscle aches. Essential oils and flower petals will take your bath to the next level by enveloping you in natural, blissful aromas.
Here’s my easy recipe so you can make your very own!
Natural Bath Soak Recipe
- 1c epsom salt
- 1/2c baking soda
- 20 drops essential oils (I used bergamot, but feel free to experiment!)
- 1/4c dried flower petals (I used rose)
- Glass jars
- Twine for decoration
- Mixing bowl
Whisk all of the ingredients in a bowl and store in a glass jar. I love packaging this mix into cute little jars and giving them as gifts to friends.
